Paintings and illustrations from British painter Spencer Frederick Gore (1878–1914), aka Freddy. Gore was a member of the Camden Town Group, and a key figure in introducing Post-Impressionist ideas and advocating for the modernization of British art. He was inspired by Walter Sickert, Lucien Pissarro, Paul Gauguin and André Derain, and his style was typically characterized by bold colors and structural composition, with focus on modern urban life, modest interiors, music halls, and quiet London streets.
