The men and women who pilot the T-38 Talon supersonic jets, and other aircraft of the 12th Flying Training Wing, are reassured to know that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is dedicated to mitigating the wildlife strike hazards that they are about to fly into, at speeds that quickly accelerate through 200mph for a training flight that can take them to more than 800 mph outside of Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) - Randolph, Texas, on April 23, 2020.

A small bird can easily take out one of the two jet engines costing more than $250,000.

If needed, any aircrew can contact controllers. If their remote-controlled devices do not help, they can have Wildlife Biologist Michael Pacheco come day or night to employ Integrated Wildlife Damage Management (IWDM) actions and methods to help mitigate the wildlife strike hazards; multiplying the deterrent force.
