The lights of the 2012 U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree from the Blanco Ranger District of the White River National Forest near Meeker, CO; and decorated with hand-made ornaments, was switched on by Colorado Springs high school student Ryan Shuster and House Speaker John Boehner, on Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Since November, the tree visited dozens of cities across the country as it made its way arriving here on Nov.26, 2012.
