Marion Ice Dam Removal
The Middle Fork of the Holston River was plagued by a partially-breached dam at an abandoned ice factory. By working with partners, including the landowners and the Town of Marion, VA, the USFWS MAT team removed the decrepit factory and the dam, opening up miles of river for recreation and aquatic habitat.
