Grand Canyon National Park
If there is any place that will shock you into silence, it’s Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona. Because the canyon spreads out below you, its amazing size isn’t really revealed until you get close. Most people arrive, park and chatter excitedly as they walk towards the rim. Then, suddenly, there it is: a massive landscape carved by water and wind over millions of years. The Grand Canyon’s size and age boggle the mind and shut the mouth.
