Blood sample being prepared for microscopy.
The photograph shows a clinic staff at SMRU holding some samples of blood collected in the rural clinic. The batches are sent to the Shoklo Malaria Research Unit in Mae Sot for testing for malaria. The laborious work is time consuming but a part of global effort to track down affected Malaria patients and the untiring effort to eliminate the disease.
