Each member contributes less than half a dollar a week.When members borrow for business needs, they are expected to pay the loan back with a small amount of interest. This helps to grow the size of the “community pot.” But when a member takes out a loan for health reasons, no interest is charged—an incentive for members to visit health providers and keep their families healthy and thriving.
