Alaska Army National Guard aviators support UAA Army ROTC field training exercise
An Alaska Army National Guard UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter, assigned to the 1-207th Aviation Regiment, departs Malemute Drop Zone at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Dec. 2, 2022. The AKARNG aviators conducted air assault training with the University of Alaska Army ROTC detachment during its end-of-semester field training exercise. The AKARNG’s General Support Aviation Battalion routinely trains with all branches of the military as well as civilian agencies to hone its operational interoperability and maintain readiness for a wide range of state and federal missions.
