Lawrence and Gisela Rhone have worked with NRCS on projects to improve their existing shelterbelt, plant new shelterbelt, and irrigate the trees to improve wildlife cover in the area. They have also worked to install a high tunnel. Their goals include growing their own food, sharing with neighbors, and inviting Veterans in crisis to their property for healing through support, service, and getting back on the land.
