21 Season 2011
Following the near miss in 2010, the new season began at lovely Worcester in a mood of optimism. Ryan Sidebottom was back, and a young man called Root made his Championship debut.
The game went well. Rashid took 11 wickets in the match, and Brophy's superb 177*, and 149 partnership with Sidebottom, rescued Yorkshire after a batting wobble.
Adam Lyth, newly returned from the Caribbean A Tour, scored 35 and 29 not out as Yorkshire won by 9 wickets.
