U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service (FS) Coconino National Forest Oak Creek Vista provides a bird's eye view of the mountain road below in Oak Creek Canyon, AZ, on December 5, 2019.
Just south of Flagstaff, Arizona State Route 89A descends a breathtaking series of switchbacks into a scenic, smaller cousin of the Grand Canyon. Known for colorful rocks and unique formations, Oak Creek Canyon is famous the world around for its spectacular scenery. Arizona Natural History Association and Forest Service have a seasonal information booth at the vista.
