Blind Industries and Services of Maryland provides legally blind patients the opportunity to learn life skills in a life of blindness.
The ten month course requirers patients to wear an eye mask to ensure complete blindness no matter the level of sight so the students can be prepared for the worst. Students learn how to cook, use technology, travel,read in braille, and hobbies like wood shop.
