Changing a fuel element at High Flux Isotope Reactor (HFIR).
Reactor operators use a small crane to remove a fuel element from the HFIR located at oak ridge national lab. The 100 megawatt reactor produces the world's highest neutron flux, and is a key facility in the national program to produce and conduct research on man-made elements heavier than plutonium. its principal product is the isotope californium-252.
