Pictured is one of the 10 C-100 cryomodules needed to double the energy of Jefferson Lab's electron beam as it is being prepared for transport to the CEBAF tunnel.

A team from the lab's Superconducting Radiofrequency Institute (SRF) use an overhead crane to load the 12,000 pound, 31-feet long, 31-inch diameter module onto a semi-tractor trailer.

At FERMILAB, accelerating cavities will be processed in this area, where there are facilities for degreasing them, rinsing them with high-pressure water and assembling them in a classroom. Original public domain image from Flickr
