Their beak is not as pronounced as the "original" species and could be a hybrid with Anser anser or Anser fabalis (as the hydridation between these species is common and easy). It's presence in Crete may be because it escaped captivity or was freed, as it is native in Asia, but has been introduced to other locations. Original public domain image from Wikimedia Commons
