Sycamore Canyon Road (FR 131) runs from SR 260 between Clarkdale and Cottonwood to Sycamore Canyon.
It winds along the Verde River, providing stunning views of the river and surrounding valley in Coconino National Forest, Arizona. Several side roads lead to the Verde River. Pay close attention to signs as many of the roads have been closed to motorized use to protect the river environment. At the beginning of April, flowers were blooming, trees were leafing out, and the Verde River was running nicely with snowmelt. Photo taken April 2, 2017.
