The Slinkard Wilderness Study Area (WSA) is located in northern Mono County, California and northeastern Alpine County California and includes approximately 6,268 acres. This WSA lies at the extreme eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada, consists of mountain ranges and canyons and has an elevation ranging from 6,800 feet to 8,938 feet.
