Keeping an Eye on Security

You voted, and this week's Top Corps Shot comes from Sgt. Pete Thibodeau. Thibodeau was in a dark training facility and noticed the dramatic light streaming in form the open windows and doors of the complex. He was excited because he feels, "flash is for amateurs." He said he's enjoyed working alongside the 2nd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team Marines because they've made him and his videographer feel welcome, and they act naturally in front of the camera. "The Fast Marines were great all exercise. Half of photography is subject matter and I was far from short of it with them. Lance Cpl. Benjamin Schaben was completely focused on the training at hand and showing the Australian Soldiers that FAST Marines train how they fight."

U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Benjamin Schaben with 2nd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team out of Norfolk, Va., maintains security in a compound during advanced urban combat training at Robertson Barracks, Darwin, Australia, Dec. 1, 2011. FAST Marines are attending Exercise Semper Fast 2011, a combined training event hosted by 5th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment, focusing on small arms ranges, direct fire ranges, military operations on urban terrain and light infantry operations.
