A Marine scout sniper candidate with Scout Sniper Platoon, Weapons Company, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment looks through the scope of his rifle during a stalking exercise in the vicinity of SR-10 aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina., April 22, 2015.

The stalking exercise taught Marines the importance of going undetected during movement and while firing at a target. The stalking exercise was one of many conducted by Marines attending the Scout Sniper Basic Preparation Course with 2nd Bn., 2nd Marines, over the course of two weeks during the month of April.
