Eastern Phoebe
Eastern phoebes are starting to return from wintering grounds in the southern U.S. and Mexico. We spotted this one at Port Louisa National Wildlife Refuge in Iowa. This species feeds mostly on insects, but will also eat seeds and fruit occasionally.
