Racoon
One of the scary myths about racoons is that they are strictly nocturnal and that any spotted out in the sun are rabid.

The truth is while racoons are more adapted for night activity, many will still venture out during the day - especially females foraging for food if they have hungry babies back at the den. Here’s one lounging in the treetops at Rappahannock River Valley National Wildlife Refuge.
