Leopard Frog
The first day of spring is also World Frog Day! Frogs are important parts of our local ecosystems as both predators (think mosquitos) and prey. They first evolved more than 200 million years ago, when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. Frogs outlived the dinosaurs, but many are now threatened by habitat loss, pollution, disease, and climate change.
