Cedar Waxwings
The mysterious, bright red droplets of wax on the wings give this species its name. Cedar Waxwings are subtle but distinctive, trilling loudly as they work their way through the treetops. The crest! The black mask! The silky fading of one color to the next! There is no other species quite like them.
