Fort Irwin Water Treatment Plant construction is underway
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been busy building a $100 million watertreatment plant for Fort Irwin and National Training Center. When complete, the plant will take water from existing and newly construction water wells, and clean/enhance the water to surpass bottled water with over 96 precent used for consumption. Work crews from the contractor, CDM-Smith, are completing construction of sewer transmission lines that connect the plants sewage lines to the main lines. Original public domain image from Flickr
