Sunset over Crooked Creek
Sunset overlooking a partially frozen Crooked Creek in Tioga, Pa., Feb. 8, 2016. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tioga-Hammond & Cowanesque Lakes project is unique in that it consists of two separate dams, one on the Tioga River and the other along Crooked Creek. The lakes are joined by a gated connecting channel in a saddle of the ridge separating the two streams. The project was operationally complete in 1978. (U.S. Army photo by Cynthia Mitchell).
