Lasioglossum boreale is a sweat bee of the arctic. Few records of this bee exist; perhaps because those that do are from frigid locations where no one visits with bees in mind. It lives only in alpine and boreal habitats and feeds on a variety of flower families (2). In North America, L. boreale ranges from northern Canada, south into the U. S. at high elevations in Colorado, Wyoming, and New Hampshire (1). It has also been found in Scandinavia and Japan (1). It is a solitary ground-nesting bee (2).
