BSEE's Oil Spill Response Training and Testing Facility Receives Structural Improvements.

LEONARDO, New Jersey - Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) continues to invest in infrastructure improvements and storm mitigation measures for its national oil spill response research and renewable energy test facility, Ohmsett, located in Leonardo, N.J. Throughout 2015, the facility is being improved through the addition of a new warehouse and storm-resistant designs to prevent or reduce wind and water impacts. Other important improvements will include an emergency backup generator, elevation of electrical and other equipment above potential storm surge levels, and installation of barriers to prevent debris impacts to facility piping and other exposed infrastructure.
