Vintage car and garage at Gammons Gulch, a recreated Old West town and the site of dozens of movies, commerical shoots and the like in the remote desert north of Benson in Cochise County, Arizona.

The town was built piece by piece and with donations of vintage artifacts beginning in 1972 by Jay Gammons, a onetime security man at a movie studio in Tucson, northwest of here. Original image from Carol M. Highsmith’s America, Library of Congress collection. Digitally enhanced by rawpixel.
