Plug In Baby
Today was another day off work. I was exhausted, as these things often are, but I also couldn't completely rule out norovirus and that's not something I wanted to even consider passing on the people that I was due to be in the three hour meeting with.
Fortunately, by the evening I was symptom free and ready to welcome a rare and wonderful visitor - my fine Irish friend Jonemac.
He's in the middle of a feature for his magazine where he's trying to drive his electric car from the office in Teddington to his parents' house in Moira, Northern Ireland, without using more than the a full tank of petrol - that's nine litres.
So far he's going well. He needed a top up charge overnight at my house, but the benefit for me was an evening of pointing at crap telly and laughing. A lot. It did me the power of good.
I also learned something. Did you know that the UK's network of electric car charging posts are free to use? Like...free! I sure as hell didn't. How much are electric scooters again?. Original public domain image from Flickr
