Relative Motion
So there we were killing time in Schiphol. We plan a long gap between flights so that 1) the bags make it and 2) we get to plane spot on the viewing terrace.
The problem is that the viewing terrace isn't covered so when it pisses down like it did today, spotting is kind of off the table.
We had fun in the airport anyway (though we didn't, to my shame, explore the Art Gallery - it meant more security checks and we just couldn't face them) and found our gate for the Helsinki flight to be right at the end of the terminal.
This meant that we had these big travelators to play with. They were just begging for a long exposure shot, so they got five seconds and the result turned out a little better than I expected.
Oh, and Helsinki is full of snow and it's -11. I haven't really braved the outdoors yet, but that pleasure is to come tomorrow. Original public domain image from Flickr
