Feeling Crabby
It was another busy day today. Dave had never been to Anglesey, and wanted to have a look.
We started the day by checking out a record shop in Porthmadog that we'd spotted on Sunday. In truth, we expected it to be either closed or totally lame. It was, in fact, sublimely fabulous with not a single Playstation game to be found anywhere, much to Dave's delight!
I even bought a CD (don't all gasp at once!).
Then it was up to the Sea Zoo at Anglesey which was fab. Whilst there I snapped this rather friendly Hermit Crab.
Then it was a trip to Llanfair PG, just because you have to, and right across the island to South Stack lighthouse via a brief stop at RAF Valley so Dave and Carol could be introduced to the joys of 'field spotting'.
Finally it was a cup of coffee in Tesco and the long drive home from Holyhead.
Blessedly it wasn't that long, taking less than two hours for the whole trip. I can do nothing but applaud the A55, which has now opened up North Wales to a new era of accessibility. Back in the day, the two hour trip we made today could have very easily taken five or six hours.
And now it's back home for a tearful reunion with the cat and all is right with the world again. Original public domain image from Flickr
