NEW LONDON, Conn. - An underwater remotely operated vehicle surfaces during an experiment at the Roland Hall pool at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy Feb. 17, 2011. The U.S. Coast Guard Academy in partnership with the Connecticut Technology Education Association hosted the two-day underwater robotics workshop for 20 teachers that is designed to provide their students with an exciting opportunity to study technology education and engineering. Participants built their crafts from a pre-made kit following a curriculum that teaches basic engineering and science concepts with a marine engineering theme.
