NEW LONDON, Conn – Members of the Navy’s Color Guard participate in a celebration of the U.S. Coast Guard's 225th birthday on New London City Pier as part of “Connecticut’s Coast Guard Summer,” Aug. 4, 2015.

The cities of New London and Groton in conjunction with the state of Connecticut, partnered to host “Connecticut’s Coast Guard Summer.” Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy designated summer 2015 as “Connecticut’s Coast Guard Summer” in celebration of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the United States Coast Guard.
