Planting Peanuts Into a Winter Wheat Cover Crop
Planting peanuts into a winter wheat cover crop. The field has been strip-tilled. Strip tillage eliminates unnecessary soil movement, therefore eliminating soil erosion and nutrient runoff. The cover crop provides a moisture barrier and also helps to control erosion. Original public domain image from Flickr
