Henline Falls trail, Oregon

Henline Falls Trail is a 1.8 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Gates, Oregon.

The trail meanders through young Douglas-fir and Western Hemlock forest. The trail ends at Henline Falls. Here you will find remnants of old mining from the 1930's. A silver mine was built into the solid rock wall and goes back in about 1500 feet.

After passing the concrete foundation of the old Silver King Mine’s power plant and water wheel from the 1930’s, you will see impressive 125 ft. Henline Falls. The blue-green pool that the waterfall crashes into continuously changes with each season, which makes this hike a must-see during all times of the year. Original public domain image from Flickr
