A truck is greeted by a Mexican security guard as it leaves Mesa de Otay, Mexico, and crosses into the Cargo Pre-Inspection point at the Otay Mesa, Calif., port of entry, June 23, 2016.

On any given day, several hundred trucks line up on the Mexican side of the border to deliver imported products awaiting the process of screening by customs officers. A growing number of shipping companies are taking advantage of CBP's Cargo Pre-Inspection which allows trusted shippers a faster and more efficient means of delivering products to U.S. retailers.
