Megachile albitarsis, f, side, Chambers co, Texas
I recently spent some time at a family reunion in South Central Texas and, of course, brought my net. Here is Megachile albitarsis, a large ground nesting Meg with its lovely amber red eyes and orange pollen carrying hairs. It was approximately 1 billion degrees out and 1 billion percent humidity and when I was walking back I saw a police car had stopped next to my car. It turns out I had a flat, and he helped me change it. Nice. But still was soaked by the end.
