Sailors prepare blood samples for surgeries aboard USNS Mercy 220829-N-HI500-1003
HONIARA, Solomon Islands (Aug. 29, 2022) – Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Kendal Swenson, from Vancouver, Washington, prepares blood products for transfusions ahead of scheduled surgeries aboard Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) during Pacific Partnership 2022. Now in its 17th year, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific. Pacific Partnership is a unifying mission that fosters enduring friendships and cooperation among many nations.
